After attending hundreds of events over the past ten months, our campaign has allowed us to share some great fun, great food and fond memories. I am wiser, more enlightened and forever enriched (as well as twenty pounds heavier). I have made many new friends and have found many old ones. Queen Anne's County and its citizens have been very gracious to me and my family and we will remain forever grateful. I want to give a profound thank you to all of you who have touched our lives and joined in our efforts to ensure the well-being of this wonderful place that we call home. We must leave this County in the hands of future generations, knowing that we left it in better condition than we found it. This is our hope and our obligation. Thank you for an experience that I hope we will never forget and I hope that the message of this campaign will continue. I urge all of you to vote on November 7th, not for me, but for yourself, your families, your neighbors and your County. God bless America and may God bless Queen Anne's County.

| Due to inclement weather, the Goodwill Fire Company Annual Carnival's attendance was down. This is a major fundraising initiative for the Centreville Firehouse. Please make a donation to the Goodwill Fire Company to show your support for our local heroes and to help them continue to provide vital emergency services to Queen Anne's County. | |
| Grasonville Volunteer Fire Department Holds Open House |

On Sunday, October 8th, the Grasonville Volunteer Fire Department hosted an Open House which included a tour of the facility, an opportunity to view various emergency equipment, food and beverages, a moon bounce for the kids and an automobile fire and automobile accident response simulation. It was a great opportunity for the community to learn more about our volunteer firefighters and the critical work that they do for our community.
